Hello

I am a photographer and printmaker. My art practice is capturing real subjects and changing the focus so that they evoke new emotions and draw attention to a different part of a given picture. I am creating new perspectives to let the subjects in my photos that might have gone unnoticed before, now stand out as the new focus of a given piece. I do this by altering color.      

Often as a younger kid I found myself wanting to blend into the background. I now find myself wanting to be seen and wanting to be noticed as part of the larger community. If I could have gone back in time to change something it would be to have been noticed or to have had someone take time to talk to me. My art changes the balance and brings attention to the individual parts of the work that would normally go unnoticed as part of the whole picture, it continues to alter my viewers perspectives.
